1. The data we collect

• Identity and contact data — your name, email address, and firm name, when you submit our enquiry form, book a call, or email us.
• Business and mandate data — information you choose to provide about your company, revenue range, transaction size, stage, and objectives.
• Correspondence — the content of emails, calls, and meetings between us.
• Technical data — basic usage data (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) collected by our hosting and scheduling providers when you use the site or booking pages.

We do not intentionally collect special category data through this website, and we ask that you do not submit it.

2. How we use it, and on what legal basis

• Responding to enquiries and assessing mandates — our legitimate interest in operating and promoting our advisory business, and, where relevant, steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract.
• Providing services under an engagement — performance of a contract with you or your firm.
• Sending relevant follow-up or marketing communications — our legitimate interest in business-to-business communication, or your consent where required. You can opt out at any time by emailing us or using the unsubscribe link in any message.
• Complying with legal obligations — including record-keeping, anti-money-laundering checks where applicable, and responding to lawful requests.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf under contract — including website hosting, customer relationship management and scheduling (our CRM and booking system), email, and document management providers — and with professional advisers or authorities where required by law. Where an engagement requires regulated activity conducted with licensed counterparties, relevant information may be shared with those counterparties with your knowledge.

4. International transfers

Some of our providers process data outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States. Where they do, we rely on safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or an adequacy decision.

5. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry data for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless a business relationship develops. Data connected to an engagement is retained for the duration of the engagement and for up to 6 years afterwards, in line with limitation periods and our legal and regulatory record-keeping obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

6. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests, including direct marketing. To exercise any of these rights, email info@sadoconsulting.com. We will respond within one month.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, although we would welcome the opportunity to address your concerns first.

7. Cookies and third-party content
